Founded in Narayanganj in 2003, we manufacture flat-knit sweaters for fashion houses across Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands. Vertical, audited, and engineered.

Our Story

Hera began with twelve flat-knit machines in a converted warehouse and a single buyer in Hamburg. Twenty-three years later, the same family runs the company — and Hamburg is still on the order book.

We are a second-generation, family-owned knitwear manufacturer based on a 42,000 m² campus on the eastern edge of Narayanganj. Today our 2,400-strong team produces medium-to-large flat-knit programs for European fashion groups, working from concept and tech-pack to FOB shipment.

The fleet of 400 STOLL ADF and CMS machines, gauge 3 to 14, is the technical backbone — but the company's identity is the engineering culture around it. Every machine is calibrated weekly. Every program runs against a documented standard operating procedure. Every shipment leaves with a third-party AQL inspection report.

We exist to be a quiet, dependable partner to brands that take design and supply chain seriously — the kind of factory you stop having to think about, season after season.

2003

Hera Sweaters Limited founded

Twelve flat-knit machines, a single buyer in Hamburg, and a 1,800 m² leased shed on the Dhaka–Narayanganj highway.

2008

First STOLL CMS fleet installed

Twenty-four CMS 530 machines arrive from Reutlingen — the start of our long partnership with STOLL.

2012

Move to the current Fatullah campus

Construction completes on the 42,000 m² site, with dedicated buildings for knitting, linking and finishing.

2017

BSCI, OEKO-TEX and SEDEX certifications

Audited social and environmental compliance becomes a permanent part of operations.

2020

In-house design studio launched

Six designers and pattern engineers begin offering ODM and trend-led collection development.

2023

Hera reaches 400 STOLL machines

A milestone in capacity — and in technical depth, with on-site German service support.

2025

Solar phase two & ESG report

Renewable share crosses 60% on campus. First third-party-verified ESG report published.

Sample studio opens in Düsseldorf
